The first step toward that dream is a new patient appointment with Henry Fertility. A thorough review of your medical history and records, including surgeries, will be completed with care and concern and then recommendations for testing appropriate to your situation will be made. You may have had some fertility related testing in the past, so please bring your records with you to your visit. We think it is very important to look at each test and piece of information as pieces to a puzzle. Together they create a picture that leads us to a solution that fits each couple individually.

IVF is a treatment that involves both the egg and the sperm. A common type of ART is In-Vitro fertilization(IVF). The procedure combines sperm with the egg in a lab, and the embryo is then placed in the uterus. Medication is used to stimulate ovulation. Ultrasounds are performed to determine when the eggs are mature. Mature eggs are removed from the ovaries and sperm from a partner or donor are added to the eggs in the lab. Sometimes, sperm is injected directly into the eggs – a process called intracytoplasmic injection or ICSI. If fertilization occurs, the egg divides to become an embryo. Pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT) may be performed to screen embryos. The embryo is then transferred to the uterus through the vagina.
